Throughout Terry Baker’s we treat Health and Safety very seriously and we always seek to adopt processes that are in line with our commitment to the Environment.
Our comprehensive range of policies and procedures exceed all current Health and Safety legislation standards and are externally monitored and verified annually.
All our workforce is 100% ECS compliant and all our electricians are fully qualified to 18th Edition.
Our Public and Employers Liability Insurance is £10m and further details can be provided on request.
We also hold accreditation from NICEIC, ECA and Chas all certificates can be provided on request.
Risk Assessments & Method Statements are carried out for all new projects and are held on file. Copies of these are available on request

NICEIC
We have been a part of the NICEIC for over 35 years. We undergo inspections annually to ensure our standard of work is of the highest quality and complies with all new legislations.
ECA
Electrical Contractors Association is a trade association that aims to increase safety promote training and develop a business environment for electrical contractors.
CHAS Accreditation
Chas is one of the founders of third party accreditation. We undergo an assessment annually to gain accreditation with Chas. For our up to date certificate please use this link.
British Safety Council
A charity which offers support on matters relating to occupational safety and health and environmental management. This is a membership organisation which we have been a part of since 2001.
BPEC Qualified
Our engineers are fully BPEC ventilation qualified. The course ensures that all our engineers can install and commission different types of ventilation. This qualification lasts for 5 years. Each certificate is technician specific, for more information please contact us.
ECS
Electrotechnical Certification Scheme, all our engineers hold an ECS card after undergoing a Health & Safety Assessment, this is valid for 3 years and copy of certification is available on request.
IPAF/PASMA/Working at Heights
We have several engineers that hold an IPAF and PASMA card for use of our Cherry Picker and Scaffold Tower. All of our engineers hold a Working at Heights card for ladder working.
Ladder Checks & PAT Testing
All our engineer’s ladders are checked by a ladder inspector each 6 month to ensure they are safe for use. We undergo PAT testing of all portable appliances on an annually basis

Risk Assessments & Method Statements
We have company Method Statements and Risk Assessments for every aspect of work we carry out, from lighting maintenance to new build installations. These can be provided on request.
Test Equipment Calibration
All our testing equipment is calibration annually. Calibration certificates available on request.
